The Netherlands connected forces from The Daily Mile and The European Mile to call upon schools and companies to take part. JOGG and partners will show you how to stay active offline and online!
Around 50.000 children between 4 and 11 years old from more than 500 schools and childcare locations will have a chance to complete the mile by running, walking, biking, rolling or any other way.
The European Mile promotes physical activity for everyone, regardless of age. Rabobank will give a good example for all homeworkers around the world how to stay active in those challenging times. Also, famous Dutch speed skater, Erben Wennemars, will join to help the Dutch to find their mile!

The EUROPEAN MILE is one of our brand new events, that we are organising, as an official European Week of Sport event. The concept of the EUROPEAN MILE is designed to build a bridge between ISCA and European Week of Sport. It will focus on using public streets for citizens’ activities and mobility, and thus celebrate both the heathy and environmentally friendly modes of transport, and the broader benefits of physical activity. In addition, EUROPEAN MILE is part of the year-round ISCA campaign NowWeMOVE, which has the vision of getting 100 million more Europeans active in sport or physical activity by 2020.
