The European Mile will take place in the South of France, more precisely in the beautiful Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region, and will be coordinated by association Azur Sport Santé, the regional center of expertise for health enhancing physical activity.
Numerous events will be organized simultaneously throughout the region in collaboration with local associations and communities in order to promote health enhancing physical activity. Whether it be by walking, running, cycling or even rowing, whether it be small events in the mountain communities or big family events in coastal cities like Nice: the 5th of June 2021 will be THE opportunity for each of you to #FindYourMile.
In order to remain within the boundaries of the current sanitary measures, each community gathering will be considered as a puzzle piece in the big picture: our regional flagship event. We expect a mosaic of diversity, contribution and teamwork that will be sure to attract wide range media coverage as we rally together to show how great – BEING MORE ACTIVE can be !

The EUROPEAN MILE is one of our brand new events, that we are organising, as an official European Week of Sport event. The concept of the EUROPEAN MILE is designed to build a bridge between ISCA and European Week of Sport. It will focus on using public streets for citizens’ activities and mobility, and thus celebrate both the heathy and environmentally friendly modes of transport, and the broader benefits of physical activity. In addition, EUROPEAN MILE is part of the year-round ISCA campaign NowWeMOVE, which has the vision of getting 100 million more Europeans active in sport or physical activity by 2020.
