European Mile flagship even will be held on-line and streamed via several Over the past months, we have all learned to learn, work and exercise in front of our computer – it was a necessity. However, we look at this form of an event as an opportunity too. Opportunity to open to a wide audience from all over Europe, to increase the marketing potential of the event and to plan and predict all actions regardless of how the pandemic situation develops. This form of event also allows us to join the work of several teams and team members, making European Mile a joint work of united Europe.
We plan to have an about 15 – 20 minutes walking activities planned for those who join the event on-line. The idea is to have a virtual walk around selected countries and places representing those countries in order to promote the European heritage and different ways of being active in a city. The leading coach will give a few interesting facts about the visited places and show some fun activities to keep us entertained when stopped on the red light.
There will be animated graphics changing in the background, depending on the place we are currently at. We will also make sure there are a lot of opportunities for interaction with the viewers – on the vision this will be provided by our facilitator (leading coach) and the communication team will make sure that messages and comments are taken care of. The event will be streamed on Facebook, YouTube and the European Mile website.
The EUROPEAN MILE is one of our brand new events, that we are organising, as an official European Week of Sport event. The concept of the EUROPEAN MILE is designed to build a bridge between ISCA and European Week of Sport. It will focus on using public streets for citizens’ activities and mobility, and thus celebrate both the heathy and environmentally friendly modes of transport, and the broader benefits of physical activity. In addition, EUROPEAN MILE is part of the year-round ISCA campaign NowWeMOVE, which has the vision of getting 100 million more Europeans active in sport or physical activity by 2020.
